ATHENS, GA — Auburn kept its perfect season intact with a 42-35 victory over Georgia at Sanford Stadium in the latest chapter of the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry.
Quarterback Byrum Brown delivered another big performance for the Tigers, completing 72.4% of his passes for 259 yards and two touchdowns while adding another score on the ground. Brown has now thrown for at least 250 yards in every game this season.

Running back Omar Mabson II provided additional support out of the backfield, rushing for 71 yards and two touchdowns as Auburn generated enough offense to hold off the Bulldogs.
Georgia quarterback Gunner Stockton did his best to keep pace, throwing for 366 yards and three touchdowns. Receiver Isiah Canion was his biggest weapon, finishing with 133 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
But the Bulldogs couldn’t slow Auburn enough to complete the upset, leaving the Tigers as one of the nation’s remaining undefeated teams.

The victory improved Auburn to 6-0, while Georgia dropped to 4-3. The Bulldogs have now lost three of their last four games following a 3-0 start.
Auburn faces LSU next in another SEC matchup as the Tigers look to protect their unbeaten record. Georgia gets a bye before taking on Florida on Oct. 31 as the Bulldogs try to get their season back on track.
