COLUMBUS, OH — Ohio State overwhelmed Northwestern on Saturday, rolling to a 52-10 victory at Ohio Stadium behind another strong performance from quarterback Julian Sayin.
Sayin continued his recent surge against a Northwestern secondary that entered the matchup with an 83.8 rating. The Buckeyes quarterback threw at least three touchdown passes for the fourth consecutive game as Ohio State controlled the matchup from start to finish.

Wide receiver Jeremiah Smith provided one of the game’s biggest plays, finishing with 107 receiving yards and a touchdown. His longest reception went for 84 yards.
Northwestern running back Caleb Komolafe provided one of the few bright spots for the Wildcats. Komolafe rushed for a season-high 144 yards and a touchdown on just 11 carries.

The victory improved Ohio State to 8-2. Northwestern also moved to 8-2, but the Wildcats have gone 1-2 since opening the season with seven consecutive victories.
Ohio State travels to face Nebraska on Saturday at 7 p.m. in another Big Ten matchup. Northwestern heads to Minnesota for a noon kickoff Saturday as the Wildcats look to rebound from their most lopsided loss of the season.
