DUBLIN, IRELAND — Senior receiver Jordan Dwyer hauled in two touchdown passes to fuel TCU to a 21-13 victory over North Carolina in the Aer Lingus College Football Classic at Aviva Stadium.

TCU senior quarterback Jaden Craig completed 24 of 37 passes for 203 yards, connecting with Dwyer on touchdown receptions of 12 and 5 yards.

The Tar Heels struck first behind a 23-yard field goal from Aeron Burrell with 4:32 remaining in the first quarter, while the North Carolina defense kept the Horned Frogs scoreless through the opening frame.

The lead didn’t last long.

Jeremy Payne opened the scoring for TCU in the second quarter, powering up the middle for a 2-yard touchdown run to give the Horned Frogs a 7-3 advantage. Then, with 1:17 remaining before halftime, Dwyer’s first touchdown reception capped a lengthy, clock-consuming drive that sent TCU into the locker room leading 14-3.

North Carolina fought back in the third quarter. Quarterback Billy Edwards Jr. connected with Jordan Shipp on a 25-yard touchdown pass to trim TCU’s advantage to four points and put the Tar Heels back within striking distance.

The Horned Frogs finally put the game away in the fourth quarter.

With 2:41 remaining, Craig found Dwyer for his second touchdown reception, extending TCU’s lead to 21-10 and forcing North Carolina into desperation mode.

The Tar Heels added a late field goal to make it 21-13 and attempted an onside kick to keep their comeback hopes alive, but TCU recovered and ran out the remaining clock.

The victory sends the Horned Frogs home from Dublin with a 1-0 record and an early statement win to begin the 2026 college football season.
