SEATTLE, WA — The Seattle Reign closed May on a positive note, defeating the Houston Dash 2-0 at Lumen Field to snap a rough stretch of form.
Mia Fishel opened the scoring in the 51st minute after Lynn Biyendolo floated a cross into the box that Fishel guided into the bottom-right corner.
Seattle doubled its lead in the 75th minute when Brittany Ratcliffe broke free behind the back line and finished with her right foot inside the left post.
Houston struggled to create chances until late in the match. The Dash pushed to avoid the shutout, but only one of their late shots was on target and comfortably handled by Claudia Dickey, who recorded her third clean sheet of the season.

Seattle improved to 6-1-4 (19 points) after an uneven May stretch in which the Reign conceded nine goals across two matches and slipped from 5th to 6th in the standings.
Houston suffered its first loss of May after a 2-1-0 run earlier in the month. The Dash dropped to 2-4-5 (10 points), sitting 10th in the table.
