MILWAUKEE, WI — The Milwaukee Brewers stretched their winning streak to six games, defeating the New York Mets 3-2 at American Family Field.

Milwaukee wasted little time taking control.

With two outs in the bottom of the first, Jackson Chourio lined an RBI single to left to score Garrett Mitchell. Sal Frelick followed with a run-scoring single to center before David Hamilton capped the rally with an RBI single to right, giving the Brewers a 3-0 lead.

That was all the support Jacob Misiorowski would need.

The right-hander worked into the sixth inning, allowing two runs while keeping the Mets’ offense in check. New York got on the board in the fourth when Ronny Mauricio belted a solo home run to right. Jorge Polanco added another solo shot in the sixth, trimming Milwaukee’s lead to 3-2.

Following Polanco’s home run, Misiorowski exited in favor of Ángel Zerpa, who retired the next three batters to preserve the one-run advantage.

The Mets threatened little the rest of the way.

Needing just one run to pull even, New York managed only one hit in the seventh and another in the ninth, but neither rally produced the tying run.

Bo Bichette led the Mets with two hits, while Juan Soto went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts. Jo Adell also finished hitless in four at-bats.

Tyler Megill (3-7) took the loss after allowing three runs on six hits over 5⅔ innings.

Misiorowski earned his second victory of the season, while Jared Koenig recorded his first save as the Brewers extended their winning streak to six games.
