• Signed SP Sane Beiber to a 3-year, $56.1 million contract.
• Signed 2B Jazz Chisholm Jr. to a 5-year, $83.5 million contract.

Philadelphia Phillies

• Signed 3B Eugenio Suarez to a 1-year deal worth $18.96 million. Suarez played for the Reds last season, hitting .246 with 30 homers and 91 RBI. He joins 2B Bryson Scott, and SS Trea Tuner in the infield. Philadelphia remains weak at first base after they traded Bryce Harper to the Dodgers.

Miami Marlins

• Signed LF Taylor Ward to a 2-year, $44.1-million contract. Taylor, 33, becomes the Reds top-ranked outfielder, joining RF Brandon Nimmo. Taylor hit .273 with 32 HR, and 90 RBI with the Marlins last season. His .851 OPS was a career high for a season.

Pittsburgh Pirates

• Signed 2B Nico Heorner, 29,  to a 6-year contract worth $138.3-million. Hoerner batted .258 with 11 HR and 76 RBI last season with the Cubs. Hoerner becomes the Pirates 2nd-highest rated player behind Paul Skenes.
• Signed RP Bryan Abreu, 29, to a 3-year deal worth $37.1-million. Abreu had been with the Astros since 2019. Last year, Abreu appeared in 65 games with a 5-4 record, 11 saves, 23 holds, and a 3.78 ERA in 67.0 innings pitched. Abreu becomes the Pirates top-rated reliever.

Detroit Tigers

• Signed SP Freddy Peralta to a 6-year contract worth $197.7-million. Peralta, 30, won the NL Cy Young last season pitching for the Mets (14-6, 189.1 IP, 223 SO, 2.86 ERA)
• Signed 1B Yandy Diaz to a 1-year, $14.1-million contract. Diaz played for the Rays last season, hitting .296, 27 HR, with 90 RBI.  (The Tigers also traded 1B Spencer Torkelson to the Angels for CP Ben Joyce and RF Josh Lowe).

• Signed 3B Alec Bohm to a 6-year, $85.8-million contract

Atlanta Braves

• Signed CP Aroldis Chapman to a 2-year, $26.2-million contract.
• Signed 2B Gleyber Torres to a 6-year, $86.9 million contract.
• Signed SS J.P. Crawford to a 3-year, $43.1 million contract. Crawford, 32, played for Seattle since 2019 and hit .275 last season with 20 HR and 73 RBI and stole a career high 21 bases. He becomes Atlanta’s No. 1 shortstop.
• Signed SP Tyler Mahle to a 1-year, $22.9 million contract

San Francisco Giants

• Signed SP Jack Flaherty to a 5-year, $135.5 million contract. Flaherty spent 3 seasons in Detroit and won a career high 16 games last season with a 2.47 ERA over 32 starts and 182.1 innings. Flaherty becomes their No. 3 starter, joining ace Logan Webb and Chris Sale.

• Signed SP Jesus Luzardo to a 8-year, $259.5 million contract.
• Signed 1B Rhys Hoskins to a 1-year, $3.2 million contract.

Tampa Bay Rays

• Signed SS Ha-Seong Kim to a 2-year, $23.1 million contract.

• Signed RP Adrian Morejon to a 4-year, $55.2 million contract.

• Signed SP David Peterson to a 3-year, $85.2 million contract.
