LOS ANGELES, CA — The Minnesota Lynx handed the Los Angeles Sparks a 93-83 loss at Crypto.com Arena, taking control early and never letting go.

Napheesa Collier led the way with 28 points and 11 rebounds on 9-of-12 shooting. Kayla McBride added 24 points as Minnesota bounced back from its opening-night loss in Dallas.

Cameron Brink paced the Sparks with 19 points and 8 rebounds. Kelsey Plum was held to 10 points on 4-of-10 shooting, while Dearica Hamby struggled, finishing with 10 points on 4-of-18 from the field along with 10 rebounds.

Los Angeles fell behind early, trailing 18-9 after a first quarter in which they shot just 3-of-15. The Sparks responded with 27 points in the second, but Minnesota kept pace, with McBride scoring 11 in the quarter to maintain the advantage.
