AUBURN, AL — LSU extended its winning streak to four games with a dominant 43-10 victory over previously unbeaten Auburn in the Tiger Bowl at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Quarterback Sam Leavitt continued his impressive stretch through the air, surpassing 310 passing yards for the fourth consecutive game as LSU’s offense overwhelmed Auburn (6-1, 4-1).

The LSU (6-2, 3-2) defense was equally dominant. The front seven kept constant pressure on Auburn quarterback Byrum Brown, recording four sacks and collapsing the pocket throughout the afternoon.

Defensive lineman Dominick McKinley led the charge with two sacks as LSU consistently disrupted Auburn’s offense. The defense was particularly effective on third down, holding the Tigers to just 3-of-14 conversions.

Despite the loss, Auburn sophomore receiver Bryce Cain delivered a breakout performance with 153 receiving yards.

The victory improved LSU to 6-2 and extended its winning streak to four games. Auburn suffered its first loss of the season and dropped to 6-1.

LSU gets a bye before facing Alabama on Nov. 7 in a major SEC showdown. Auburn looks to rebound against Ole Miss next as the Tigers try to prevent their first loss from becoming the start of a skid.
