INDIANAPOLIS, IN — The Atlanta Hawks stormed back from an 18-point deficit and defeated the Indiana Pacers117-112 in overtime at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in the opening game of the NBA Cup group stage

Indiana led 49-39 at halftime and 82-74 after three quarters before Atlanta flipped the game in the fourth. C.J. McCollum scored 8 of his 24 points in the final period, including a game-tying three with two seconds left to force overtime at 102-102.

In the extra session, Onyeka Okongwu took over, scoring 7 of his 13 points to seal the win. Okongwu (13 points, 12 rebounds) and Jalen Johnson (14 points, 15 rebounds) both recorded double-doubles as Atlanta dominated the glass 58-44.

Pascal Siakam led Indiana with 29 points, and Tyrese Haliburton added 26. Haliburton scored 16 in the first half but was limited to 8 after the break and just 2 in overtime before fouling out.

Cavaliers crush Raptors

CLEVELAND, OH — The Cleveland Cavaliers rolled past the Toronto Raptors 138-98 behind 28 points each from James Harden and Donovan Mitchell. Evan Mobley added 16 points and 11 rebounds, and Jarrett Allen chipped in 12 points and 11 boards.

Cleveland led 60-42 at halftime and broke the game open with a 37-19 third quarter.

R.J. Barrett scored 26 for Toronto, but the Raptors struggled from deep (7-for-27) and at the free-throw line (7-for-17).
