ORLANDO, FL — Jayson Tatum delivered 37 points and 11 rebounds, but the Orlando Magic outlasted the Boston Celtics 130-122 to secure a spot in the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Orlando shot a blistering 61% from the field compared to Boston’s 53%. Paolo Banchero led the Magic with 32 points and 12 rebounds, while Jalen Suggs added 20 points.
The Magic carried a 70-67 lead into halftime before breaking the game open in the third quarter, outscoring Boston 34-19 to build a 104-86 advantage. The Celtics mounted a late push behind Tatum, who scored 23 points in the second half, but Orlando maintained control down the stretch.
The victory marked Orlando’s third straight win, including a 125-108 victory over Boston in the regular-season finale.
Boston has now lost four of its last five and must defeat the Philadelphia 76ers in the final play-in game to reach the postseason.
