Onwualu fits the mold of a true “Backfield Creator”, possessing strong mobility and above-average speed for the position. His ability to extend plays and threaten defenses with his legs adds a dynamic element to Baylor’s future offense.
With Walker White entrenched as the current starter, Onwualu may begin his career developing behind the scenes. However, his upside suggests he could be the next cornerstone of the Bears’ offense once the job opens up.

Joey Olson, TE (OVR 80 | 3-Star | Transfer)
Looking to bolster its tight end room after missing on high school recruiting targets, Baylor turned to the transfer portal and landed junior tight end Joey Olson from USC. The 6-foot-5 Oregon native brings size and versatility to the offense.
While Olson saw limited usage with the Trojans, he sought a program that would offer greater playing time and a more featured role in the passing game. The Bears expect him to provide a strong presence both inline and as a receiving threat.
Rameir Hardy, WR (OVR 76 | 3-Star | Transfer)
Wide receiver Rameir Hardy transfers from Temple to begin his junior season at Baylor, bringing experience and production to the Bears’ passing attack.
Hardy, a Philadelphia native caught 52 passes for 751 yards and two touchdowns in 2026 and is expected to step into a starting role immediately. Hardy cited brand exposure and a larger platform as key factors in his decision to make the move.
